MOTION SWARM - costume mask

Early phase of an encounter with flesh eating bees. The insects swarm across the host, converting subcutaneous fat into honeycomb for new larvae.

Later phase development turns the host's flesh necrotic and black.

hand cast, hand painted latex mask has over 400 handmade bees individually attached to it. Each bee sits slightly above the surface of the mask for dimension and so that they can move freely as the wearer moves. Available with a black or irritated skin base. Velcro closure in back and holes cut around the nose and mouth for ventilation.
